How to get here from Abroad
The main airport is Gardermoen ("Oslo lufthavn"), north of Oslo. Trains are available going from the airport to the train station in Askim (pronounced: A-shim). From Askim, take bus #640 in front of Askim station ("Askim stasjon") and get off in front of the town hall in Skiptvet (pronounced Ship-tvet) The bus station is called "Skiptvet Rådhus" or "Skiptvet sentrum". The bus ticket will cost approximately 65 NOK. Please make sure to check the departure times for the bus between Askim and Skiptvet before travelling, as there is only a limited number of departures each day. Please note that there are no buses on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you are considering travelling by taxi from Askim to Skiptvet, it would usually cost a little less than 500 NOK on a weekday and a little more than 500 NOK during the weekends. Please note that we can not make any gurantees regarding taxi prices.
How to get here from Oslo
By car: Head south on the E6 towards Gothenburg, then turn onto the E18 towards Stockholm. Follow the signs towards Askim, and then turn onto the 115 towards Skiptvet. When you reach Meieribyen, turn right onto Lundsveien road (just opposite Skiptvet town hall). From there, there is a two kilometer walk to the monastery (see below).

How to walk here from Skiptvet Town Hall ("Skiptvet rådhus")
Follow Lundsveien road for two kilometres. The entrance to the monastery is on the right, past a big field, and is marked by a sign saying "Lundsveien 196", and another sign saying "Skiptvet buddhistkloster".
