How to get here from Abroad
The main airport is Gardermoen ("Oslo lufthavn"), north of Oslo. Trains are available going from the airport to the train station in Askim. From Askim take bus #640 in front of Askim station ("Askim stasjon") and get off in front of the town hall in Meieribyen ("Skiptvet Rådhus" or "Skiptvet sentrum"). Make sure to check the departure times for the bus between Askim and Skiptvet before travelling, as there is only a limited number of departures each day. Please note that there are no buses on Saturdays and Sundays. From there, follow Lundsveien road for two kilometres. (see the map below).

How to get here from Oslo
By car: Head south on the E6 towards Gothenburg, then turn onto the E18 towards Stockholm. Follow the signs towards Askim, and then turn onto the 115 towards Skiptvet. When you reach Meieribyen, turn right onto Lundsveien road (just opposite Skiptvet town hall). From there, there is a two kilometer walk to the monastery (see below).
By public transport: Take the train from Oslo Central Station to Askim. In front of Askim Station ("Askim stasjon"), take bus #640 to Meieribyen and get off in front of Skiptvet town hall ("Skiptvet rådhus" or "Skiptvet sentrum"). Follow Lundsveien road for two kilometres.
