We are delighted to announce that this year’s Thai New Year (“Songkran”) celebrations will be held in conjunction with a weekend retreat and the enshrinement ceremony of Luang Por Chah's statue. The event will take place on Sunday, April 12th, 2026.
Program
10:00 – Gathering in the dāna sāla (main house).
10:30 – Rice piṇḍapāta (alms-round within the monastery grounds).
11:00 – Meal offering, followed by a communal meal.
12:30 – Gathering in the sāla (meditation hall).
12:45 – Ceremony Highlights:
Enshrinement of Luang Por Chah's statue, led by Ajahn Preechar Jutindaro (Vice Abbot of Santacittarama, Italy, representing Phra Brahmasiddhi of Wat Saket, Bangkok).
Water pouring ceremony.
Pahpha (Paṅsukula) offering.
Dhamma reflections: in Thai by Ajahn Preechar Jutidharo and in Norwegian by Ajahn Sindre Ajito.
14:00 – Blessing and closing ceremony.
